Things You Shouldn't Say To Someone With Depression

I guess this goes with the whole metal illness taboo. As someone who suffers from depression & anxiety, there as been many things that i've heard from certain people. Either people aren't understanding of how you feel or they are just downright nasty. Depression is something that most of the world suffers with, either in silence or with support of therapists. It's a battle and for some it's a battle that can't be won, it's a battle that's emotionally exhausting. People need to be more understanding of metal health because it is as important as our physical health.

1. There’s nothing to be upset about. There’s actually a lot in the world to be upset about; people with depression just spend more time aware of it.

2. Everything will be OK. This fact hasn’t escaped our awareness, but things still feel pretty shitty right now.

3. Life isn’t fair. This is, once again, downplaying this person’s feelings. No, life may not be fair, but that won’t make them feel any better about their situation.

4. You just have to deal with it. Someone who struggles with depression IS dealing with it…every single day…as best they can. Saying this undermines them and could make them feel as if they aren’t good enough.

5. Life goes on. Yeah, life does go on, but for someone dealing with depression, it can feel as if they are stuck with no way out. They probably have trouble imagining getting through a day, let alone the entire week.

6. Don’t cry. With the exception of actors playing a role, most people, depressed or otherwise, don’t intentionally cry. If you see someone cry, you’re probably seeing tears they tried to fight back. Don’t make them feel worse for letting them escape.

7. Have you tried getting eating better/sleeping less/exercising more/getting more light? If depression could be cured that easily, nobody would suffer from it. Most people with depression have already tried everything in the book and more.

8. You have a mental illness? Then you must be crazy! Again, this is extremely ignorant. Mental illnesses are just like physical illnesses - you treat them and get better. Having depression does not make someone crazy.

9. Just think positive. This is one that really annoys me, like we all try and think positively but it's such a chore sometimes. Even the most positive people in the world can fall victim to depression. This point goes back to that whole “depression is an illness” thing. Anyone can fall victim - positive people included.

10. "Happiness is a choice." Have you ever noticed that clinically depressed people — regardless of their lifestyle, their income, their gender, their location, their political or religious views — deal with the same feelings? I'm tired, my life has no meaning, I feel doomed, hopeless, worthless, and I'm not sure how much longer I can do this. You bore yourself with your own repetitive thoughts. It's not like you're enjoying or wallowing in your negative feelings. Nobody's choosing to feel this way.

Although your heart might be in the right place, just think is it really going to help. Instead of being judgemental, be understanding, try to understand. Be a friend. We don't need pity, we need someone to support us during those bad mental health days, to comfort us without treating us like an invalid because We Are Not An Invalid.

Thanks for reading this post, i wasn't 100% sure whether to post it after it's been sitting in my drafts for awhile but what the hell

15 Reasons Why Paul Coker Was My Favourite EastEnders Character

There's always a character we grow attached to whether it's from a soap, TV series or movie. And in my case i grow attached to a character in a soap & TV series. Life of a fangirl, right? It's no secret that one soap character i adored is Paul Coker from EastEnders, who's pretty much perfect, with his lovely curly hair, lovely hazel eyes and that beautiful smile of his, not to forget his cute little dimples

And this week has been pretty emotional after it was revealed *spoiler alert* Paul died in a homophobic attack while out with his boyfriend Ben Mitchell which makes it much more tragic and harder to swallow - This marks the end of one of the cutest burgeoning relationships ever seen on the show – but that’s EastEnders for you, creating something lovely only to rip it apart again. STUPID EE. Paul had only been on the show a year before EastEnders decided to write him out which is a big mistake considering people love Paul Coker, me included (Jonny Labey on the other hand didn't want to leave.)

Paul Coker's death made me sob harder than when Jackson in Emmerdale died. Mainly because it was unexpected and came far far too soon. To see one of Walford’s most adorable couples (after my first EE OTP Christian & Syed) torn apart like this broke my little fangirl heart, everyone fell in love with Paul's personality and confidence. I have wanted Eastenders to do a homophobic attack (hate crime) story for a while but DEFINITELY not at the exspense of Paul Coker.

1. That lovely grin, Paul was a like beaming light in dreary Albert Square. Paul Coker’s smile is actual sunshine.
2. A warm, positive openly gay character who clearly was a all round sweetheart.
3. A cutie, there's no real lookers left on the square who's as sweet as well as handsome. Tanned and baby faced looks - he was the much needed eye candy
4. Paul's lovely nature is what made him lovable, he was always lovely to his grandparents and to those around him.
5. As a Paul stan i fell in love with him from his first episode with his sweet charm.
6. Blessed with a face of a prince and a lovely personality (Thank you Jonny Labey)
7. He was always understanding or at least he tried to be when it came to his granddad's need to dress as Christine and Ben dealing with his sexuality. He was loyal to those he loved.
8. His hazel eyes and luscious curls (and even with that little headband he used to keep his hair out of his eyes was cute), i think everyone fell in love with him the moment he set foot on the Square. He's a beautiful cinnamon roll (I'm aware I've probably talked in tumblr language)
9. Paul's relationship with Ben was lovely to see, filled with affection and seeing them together openly and happy was good to see. Let's be honest, Paul helped Ben in more was than one for Ben to be open and proud of who he is alongside falling in love. And the name tattoo's were really beautiful. Paul leaves the world with Ben written on him, and Ben has Paul's to be a part of him forever and will never truly leave him. Soulmates.
10. He was still as happy-go-lucky and fresh-faced as when he arrived on the Square, perhaps one of the most inoffensive and lovable characters, a loving, friendly, beautiful human being who stands up for what he believes in.

11. As someone who loved Paul as a character it was always amazing to see that he was happy within himself. He always was one to spread positivity on everything and I think that's one of the many reasons he was so loved, as he was a fluffy little angel. He helped someone to face what they really are and to feel comfortable within that. He also only ever saw the BEST in people and always tried to help people.. Even people who were so horrible to him.
12. He was cheeky and adventurous, not because he'd been travelling before arriving in Walford and caught the eye of Ben Mitchell. He hid his number in Ben’s coat pocket, he snatched a snog within an hour of meeting him and would happily flirt without worrying about the consequences. I wouldn't say no to Paul Coker flirting with me.
13. Paul being confident with who he was as a person was inspiring to see and very refreshing to see that in a young character.
14. He was a ray of sunshine, there were times where he was emotional and vulnerable which showed how real he was a person. That was something i definitely liked about him.
15. His quirkiness and how sentimental he is (especially with the 'Ben' tattoo on his ring finger)

I wanted to end this 'Paul Coker Appreciation' post, thanking the lovely Jonny Labey who stole my heart the moment he set foot on screen, thank you for bringing Paul to life and playing him so beautifully - thank you for being amazing. I'm gutted to not see you on my screen anymore... Hope to see you on our screens again soon doing what you do best, being your insanely talented self.

What are your thoughts on the sadly departed Paul Coker, were you a fan of the handsome curly haired charmer?

Favourite Movies To Watch When I'm Down

Whenever I'm feeling down, a movie always perks me up.. Well that or music, I love putting on a Disney movie or a chick flick/romcom. When I'm struggling with the difficulties that life throws, sometimes to be able to find comfort and solace in things like movies makes everything feel so much better. Not only does it take my mind off the problems in my world, it leaves me feeling happier and calmer.

The Little Mermaid- Ahh the wonderful under the sea classic (see what i did there) Growing up, this was my favourite disney film that always made me feel better if i was off sick and it still cheers me up to this day. I think everyone knows the concept of the story: mermaid Ariel is fascinated with life on land. On one of her visits to the surface, which are forbidden by her over protective father, King Triton, Ariel falls for a human prince. Determined to be with her new love. She exchanges her voice and has just days to getting her Prince to fall in love with her... and you all know how it ends.

Tangled - Another feel good Disney movie, centered around Rapunzel. I love the songs, animation and Rapunzel's pet chameleon Pascal, and Maximus, the horse. The film tells the story of a lost, young princess with long magical hair who yearns to leave her secluded tower. Against her 'mother's' wishes, she accepts the aid of a handsome intruder to take her out into the world which she has never seen. I think everyone's favourite scene is the sky lanterns/See The Light, well at least its mine.

Dirty Dancing - This is the greatest 80's film ever exsisted. Everyones favourite chick flick. It's definitely one of my favourite movies and the perfect pick me up movie. Whats not to love about this classic: A sweet love story, dancing and of course Patrick Swayze who was everyones crush in this movie. He works the bad boy look with the leather jacket and shades. This film is not just another feel good love story.

A Cinderella Story -  this is possibly every-ones favourite. A childhood favourite, Hilary Duff and heart throb Chad Micheal Murray...need I say more? Growing up with this film, I always prayed for a fairytale ending like this, ahh the teenage dream. I love the twist this film has on the disney classic Cinderella, it's hilarious and her dress, wow! I'm not even joking when i say I genuinely thought thats how high school was gonna to be like, finding your own Austin Ames. What a little let down that was.

So that's my 4 films that cheer me up but I can't finish this post without mentioning my other favourites: Beauty & The Beast, The DUFF, Camp Rock and Breakfast At Tiffany's & many more... Anything Disney or a Chick Flick i love.

What movies do you watch to cheer yourself up?

10 Motivational Quotes I Love

Sorry for the rubbish title, i couldn't think of anything better. Quotes are something that speak on so many levels and can be inspirational, so i wanted to share some of the quotes that inspire me and make me smile, we all have those days where quotes just seem to make sense and give you that push you need.

"Do it badly, do it slowly, do it fearfully, do it any way you have to, but do it."
- Steve Chandler

"Worry about your character, not your reputation. Because your character is who you are, and your reputation is only what people think of you"

"Sometimes we only see how people are different from us, but if you look hard enough, you can see how much we're all alike"
 – Jasmine (Disney)

"No one will understand you. It is not, ultimately, that important. What is important is that you understand you."

"You are allowed to be both a masterpiece and a work in progress, simultaneously"

“Be yourself, celebrate your individuality and celebrate your differences—as opposed to comparing yourself to others and telling yourself that you need to change this or that, or that you’re not good enough. I think positive self-reinforcement and self-love are some of the most important things in the world. So I think: love yourself, embrace your differences from one another and be you.”
 – Ariana Grande

“Listen to me. Never seek validation from anyone. Learn to love and be kind to your body, mind and soul. Notice there is a vast difference between judging and valuing yourself. Don’t settle for blending into the background of society and doing things simply to gain the approval of others. Never be afraid to speak your mind, never be scared to do what makes you happy, and never feel pressured into changing yourself to be like other people. Strive to be the best version of you you can be. You are your very best friend. Only you can give yourself feelings of self-worth, acceptance, happiness and security. You are beautiful just how you are. This is a temporary life so don’t you dare change for anyone but yourself.”

"Your story is unique & so so different and not worthy of comparison"

"we get so worried about being pretty. lets be pretty kind. pretty funny. pretty smart. pretty strong"

“Don’t compare your chapter 1 to someone else’s chapter 15. Follow your own path, write your own life story, and never give up on yourself.”

How I Cope With Bad Mental Health Days

I've been fairly open about my mental health on this blog as i live and learn about depression and anxiety. I'd like to think the mental health posts i create help and give you some kind of comfort for you guys when you're having a particularly bad day or if you just need a little reminder that you're not alone! Of course we all cope in different ways and these i just some of mine.

Since I've started blogging it really has become one of my favourite creative outlets. Whenever I'm in a bad mood or feeling anxious I really do like to go on my laptop, get comfy and just write blog posts. I always find doing something creative takes your mind of whatever it is thats making you anxious. There are plenty of other ways to get creative and take your mind off the bad thoughts such as; adult colouring books or things like sewing and knitting! Knitting is definitely something i'd like to try but my patience level isn't very good but who knows when i decide to pick it up.

There's nothing better on an anxious day than getting in a hot bath and soaking away your worries - it is the ultimate relaxation method for me and definitely does a good job at cheering me up and putting me in a generally happier mood! Having a nice hot bath is my go to 'me time' thing to do. And just ending the night snuggled up in bed watching a film/ tv series or listening to music.

Music is definitely something that is a big part of my bad days! I have so many playlists that I turn to on days where I feel anxious or generally negative and I must admit my taste really does change depending on the day! Some days all I want to do is stick on a cheesy pop playlist or some 90's - 00's throwbacks classics and have a sing along and a boogie and it definitely does just the trick when it comes to putting my in a more chirpy mood and also making me forget about all the stresses and anxious thoughts!

Having a laugh or watching something funny can be just what you need to get out of your slump on a bad day! I always find that watching a funny YouTube video or watching a funny film not only puts me in a better mood but also keeps me distracted from my anxious and negative thoughts. Some of my favourite go-to films on these days are mainly chick flicks or Disney films and they always do the trick. Both uplifting and are the perfect boost to any mood, i don't think there will be a day where i get bored of Disney or a good chick flick.

I was umming and awwing about adding planning in that little list but honestly i'm not good with sticking to plans unless they are very important. It's not to say i don't plan anything exciting, i just don't like to plan things if i'm going to get myself into a little panic. Everybody is different.

How do you cope with bad mental health days? Leave me your tips in the comments.

Life Lessons We Can Learn From Dirty Dancing

This post idea came to me when i decided to watch the trailer, just last night and all the reasons why i love Dirty Dancing came flooding through my head. So i figured why not do a post on the lessons you can take from the much loved classic.

Dirty Dancing is everyone's go-to chick flick, right? A go-to classic for all of us romantic movie junkies. But Dirty Dancing is not just another feel good love story. It is also a thought provoking period piece, full of life lessons. It's definitely one of my favourite movies and the perfect pick me up movie. Whats not to love about this classic: a sweet love story, dancing and of course the sadly departed Patrick Swayze (who was everyone's crush growing up, pretty much)

Have the confidence to be yourself
‘Nobody puts Baby in the corner,’ is by far the most famous quote to make it out of Dirty Dancing, and for a very good reason. Dance lessons aside, Johnny has the knack of bringing the best out of Baby, whether she’s risking it all to ask her dad for help or getting up on the stage in front of hundreds. It goes to show 'know your true value' at least that's what i got from the most famous movie quote.

Break the rules
Sometimes the rules are made to be broken, as demonstrated by Johnny at the end, who despite being fired, returns to Kellerman’s to do the final dance, including that illicit lift. As the saying goes, fortune favours the brave. And that’s exactly what Baby did. Known for being the perfect, do-gooder child, Baby quite literally stepped off the path, and ventured into an exciting world that would soon change her life.

Always reserve judgement until after you have all the facts
When they learn that Penny is pregnant, both Baby and her father assume that Johnny is the one who knocked her up.  It is not until later that they find out that Robbie, the Ivy League educated, future doctor, is the actual father of Penny’s baby. Also, when money goes missing at Kellerman’s, Johnny’s boss assumes Johnny is the thief. In the end, the thieves turn out to be the Schumachers, a cute elderly couple that no one had suspected.

Just like you can't judge a book by its cover, you can't judge a dancer by his leather jacket. Just because Johnny comes from the wrong side of the tracks, does not mean that he is a bad guy. And just because Robbie comes from an affluent background, does not mean he is a good guy. People are complicated, which is why it is important to reserve judgement until after you have had a chance to get to know the person. And even then, it is probably still best not to judge. After all, no one likes to be judged.

Everything worth doing takes work
Remember how much Baby and Johnny had to practise that dance before Baby got it down? Even after all of that, Baby still is not able to do the leap when they perform at the Sheldrake. It is not until the big finale at the end of the movie that Baby is finally able to master that particularly difficult move.

If there is a skill that you want to master (be it dancing, sports, painting or whatever) expect that it will take a lot of practise.  But, in the end, it will be worth it.  And who knows?  You may even get to perform a leap and show off in front of your family and friends the way Baby did. Lets be honest, everyone wants to master that iconic lift.

Sometimes you do everything right and still lose in the end
Johnny did not steal the money but he still gets fired.  Why?  Because he fell in love with someone he wasn’t supposed to fall in love with.

Life is not fair. Sometimes bad guys and bullies win. This is just and unfortunate fact of life.  But let’s take a step back and examine the situation a little more closely. What did Johnny really lose here? A summer job that was about to end anyway? A boss who thought he was a crook?
It is important to surround yourself with people who appreciate and support you, both in your personal and your professional life. Johnny had personal support from Baby. But, professionally, in his job as a dancer at Kellerman’s, he was undervalued and unappreciated. Setting aside the fact that it cost him precious time with the woman he loved, losing his job might very well be a good thing after all.

Trust your instincts
If there’s anything we can learn from "Dirty Dancing" other than how sexy Patrick Swayze dancing is, it’s that we should always trust our instincts. Baby goes against everything her parents believe in, and it leads her to opportunities to help other people, as well as the opportunity to find herself. What we, as an audience, can take away from this is that good things tend to come when we trust our instincts.

All smart, somewhat shy, and sometimes painfully awkward young women should be more like Baby.
There are few truly great female characters in movies and Baby Houseman is one of them. Baby is intelligent and ambitious. She is also idealistic and naive. She can easily stand up to those she sees as her intellectual equals or as beneath her. But she is in awe of anyone who actually challenges her and her sense of self. This is why her relationship with Johnny Castle works. Otherwise Baby will end up with someone like Neil and as we have established, Neil is a dreadful bore. Give me a Johnny Castle any day.

Thoughts Girls Have When It's That Time Of Month

And by 'That Time Of Month' i mean, periods. That dreaded time of month, when Mother Nature punishes you with stomach cramps. I thought it would be fun to do a post on thoughts girls have when on their period because lets face it NO ONE likes being on their period, they should skip periods all together. We’ve all been there (every 28-ish days) depending on our period cycle.

1. Wait, is this a sign my period is starting?
2. It's so not fair. Why do other girls get 4 days and I have to suffer 6-7?
3. Let's watch some chick flicks. They always do the trick.
4.  AHHHH! My uterus is killing me!
6. Why I am getting punished for not being 21 & pregnant!?
7. I better take 5 more pads, just in case.
9. Why are men so lucky? They don't have to bleed every month and pop kids out.
10. JUST GIVE ME ALL THE FOOD. I'm blaming this on my period
11. I just want to curl up into a big ball until this is all over
12. Actually i'm going back to sleep. maybe that will help?
13. Nope, okay. A nice soak instead then
14. I feel bloated and crampy.
15. One down, only 400ish more periods to go.
16. These stomach cramps literally feel like someone has chopped up my uterus into tiny pieces and then puzzled them back together wrong.
17. Can someone give me a dog to cuddle, I don't like people
18. Everyone and everything is annoying me right now.
19. I’m really worried that my ovaries are actually exploding right now.
20. Oh my god, this pad wrapper is so loud. Now everyone in the girls’ toilets knows I’m on my period. Brilliant.
22. I need someone to stroke my hair and rub my back while i eat my weight in junk food and cry at chick flicks
23. Why is there an advert of happy girls on their periods. It's not a happy time. ITS TORTURE TO MY UTERUS
24. Instead of getting their period girls should just get to sleep for 5 days straight every month everyone wins
25. I don’t want to do anything like, EVER again
26. I'm definitely not pregnant, can this be over now.
27. I thought I already got my period this month.
28. This explains why I was breaking out so bad this week.
29. God damn it, men will never know what this feels like.
30. And women go through this every month so we can experience the joys of childbirth.
 31. Ah, pain relief what would i do without you.
32. Periods are the worst. Being a woman is the worst.
33. Am i leaking!? It feels like a waterfalls happening in there.
34. a nice hot drink to cuddle my insides. Just what i need.
35. Welp, another bed sheet bites the dust.

What are your thoughts when you are on that dreaded period?

Twenty One At Twenty One

Today marks my 21st birthday, I've been on this planet for 21 years. I am now officially what you call an adult? I feel like I'm in a good position to look back on my twenty one years to see what I've learnt.  I have so much life ahead of me and I am just getting started! The lessons along the way are what have made me who I am today.

1. Keep an open mind and an open heart.

2. Love yourself and everything that you stand for.

3. Comparison really is the thief of joy. Comparing yourself to someone else really will make you miserable.

4. I can’t adult and I don’t want to adult but I have to adult so I get on with it

5. Mental Illness doesn’t define you as a person

6. It’s okay if you don’t have your life figured out just yet. Its ok to not know what you’re doing. You’re not alone.

7. Those bad days your having? You’re alive now, tomorrow is a new day. A fresh start.

8. Be ready for all of the things that life throws at you but don’t always expect the worst

TV Shows To Binge Watch On A Lazy Day

Every now and again, we all need a day that is categorically reserved for doing nothing but chilling out. I love having a day of curling up in bed and watching some good telly and these are the show's i tend to binge watch on a lazy day. So here are my little recommendations.

Catfish: The TV Show
MTV's Catfish is easily one of my favorite shows and someone's guilty pleasure. Nev and Max's bromance is everyone's favourite thing to watch,They’re the perfect duo, and I love watching their banter and partnership. Nev and Max give it point blank, particularly Max - It still surprises me to this day as to why people are still being Catfished, in this modern day in age. I can't help but watch reruns for a little catfish drama and Nev & Max's lovely little bromace.

New Blood
A cool crime drama with an epic bromance, whats not to love? This has become a new watch for since it only air just last month and i've been hooked ever since. It's authentic, fresh and unlike any of the more serious cop dramas on TV at the minute. I think the storylines are very well developed and so well written, it has the humour, the charisma and good stories. Rash and Stefan are one awesome, cute duo. It's probably my favourite series of this year.

Tattoo Fixers
I love the whole gang, Sketch, Alice, Jay and Paisley are just hilarious & some of the things they say leave you in a fit of giggles. How people can stupidly get a rubbish tattoo is beyond me, luckly they have the guys to help them out. And how they do the cover ups with such detail & colour is epic. Everytime i watch this i'm always umming and awwing about getting a tattoo but honestly i'm too much of a baby to handle pain, so getting a tattoo would be out of the question at least for now.

A Place To Call Home
This show has glamour, drama and a good set of eye candy, it’s beautifully filmed, nicely acted and well worth savouring. It focuses on the social changes, romances and other stories of that time period. I was pretty much hooked on the storytelling, the setting and the characters. My sister and I  binge watched the series a couple months or so ago and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Who doesn't love this show? No matter how many times I see the episodes, I love them just as much as the first time I watched them. It never fails to make me laugh, cry and wish I lived in a cute apartment in NYC. And have friends like Chandler, Monica, Joey, Rachel, Ross and Pheobe.

One Tree Hill
Everyone has either heard or became obsessed with this series. The core 5 Lucas, Peyton, Brooke, Nathan & Haley are very easy to relate to one way or another, One Tree Hill is a show that shaped the lives of everyone that watched and you certainly learnt some lessons from this series. I love every single one of them for different reasons and the show is one that's worth binge watching on a lazy day or any other day,

Who doesn't love awkward Miranda and dishy chef Gary's relationship? This wondeful sitcom always puts a smile on my face, and always leaves me in a fit of giggles. Miranda addresses her audience at the beginning of every episode. We all have a little bit of Miranda in us - a socially awkward woman who finds herself singing when she or other people accidentally talk in song lyrics, the woman in love with her best friend from university. The enthusiastic about everything woman. Miranda Hart is awesome. This sitcom is awesome.

What To Do When You Think You Are Not Good Enough

I've been having some of those days where i'm down on myself and lacking on the whole self love so i thought why not share some of the things i've been trying to follow. It's a pity i don't follow my own advice sometimes. Since this has been stuck in my drafts for awhile, i figured why not share it with you guys.
Throughout life, no matter what we're setting out to achieve, most of us will feel that we simply aren't good enough. Whether it be in school, in college, in a workplace, within the blogging community - we all experience our down days that tell us we're not good enough to have what we're ultimately pursuing. More often than not, it all sprouts from our own self-doubt and we humans can be horribly guilty of not giving ourselves enough credit. We're human after all, everything can't be fine and dandy all the time, it's no lie that we are our own worst enemy, our harshest critic so here is some advice on what to do when you think you are not good enough.

Be your own encouragement.
When you're experiencing one of those down days, it can be incredibly difficult to stop being your own worst enemy. Even when everyone else is telling you that you're wonderful, it can be hard to believe it yourself. Though remember, you are the only one who controls your mind and your thoughts are just thoughts. When you feel the self-doubt starting to creep in, try to remember all of the amazing things you have achieved. Your attitude determines your direction.

Focus on progress over perfection.
We all have that perfect picture in our head of how we expect things to be - but if something even slightly goes off course it can lead to disappointment. We all strive so hard for success and perfection and when that doesn't happen, we can drown ourselves in a sea of self-loathing. Instead of focusing on getting everything perfect, focus on the progress you are making. Look back to where you were one year ago and feel proud of the progress you have made in that time.

Remember that everyone compares.
It's hard to believe, but it's true that even the most seemingly confident and successful people you can think of will compare their life to someone else. Comparison is truly the thief of joy. We're all guilty of it, yet it's probably one of the most excruciatingly hurtful things we do to ourselves. It's so important to keep in mind that what we can see of other people's lives may be at a completely different stage to our own, or may not even be the full picture. Instead of looking at others who you believe are successful and feeling jealous and disheartened with yourself, look at them as an inspiration and a motivation.

Celebrate your achievements.
No matter how big or small, celebrating your achievements is so important. I will be the first to admit that I constantly set myself goals, meet them, then immediately move onto the next thing without taking a moment to celebrate my success. Start giving yourself credit for all of the hard work you put into what you do instead of downplaying it and thinking that you could do better. Again, look back to where you were one year ago and celebrate the achievements you have made to get to where you are now. If you don't take a second to celebrate what you've accomplished, you will never feel good enough.

"Accept yourself. Love Yourself. Celebrate Yourself."

What are your tips on how to stop being your own worst enemy?
