15 ways to add more positivity to your life

I know it can be hard to be positive when life just keeps giving you all these hurdles... I think most of us need a little extra dose of positivity in our lives – is there really such thing as too much? I know I’ve been feeling a bit low for a good few months now. Partly because of the weather, just being an adult, losing my beloved pug and also partly because of general poor mental health.

1. Stop comparing your life/body/blog/job/anything with other people. If you find yourself doing this, why not replace it with something positive.
2. Pay yourself a compliment everyday
3. In the wise words of Roald Dahl – “If you have good thoughts, they will shine out of you like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.” You are what you think!
4. Keep a gratitude journal.
5. Or, just a list of things on your phone that make you happy. (this is something I've done recent and it helps me, alot)
6. Just enjoy the little things, not everything in life needs to be a big milestone to make you happy
7. Focus on the good, always. There is always a silver lining even if it's not apparent
8. Appreciate as much as you can. Anything and everything can be appreciated.
9. Have an open mind.
10. Watch a happy film or listen to a happy playlist
11. Have a more zen like attitude. Try not to see things as happening to you but rather happening for you. Everything can be a lesson.
12. Avoid over analysing.
13. Smile more.
14. Treat people how you wish to be treated.
15. Be kind. Be loving. Be positive and believe in yourself.

I hope these help you in some kind of way and remember animals exist so there's that.

  1. Fantastic post! I'd been feeling down in the dumps a bit lately, but this makes me want to kick myself and get on with things. I'll definitely be working on being more positive over the Easter Break x
